Itinerary

At Bandaranayke International Airport's arrival terminal, a representative from our organization serving as your tour guide will be there to meet and greet you.
Depending on your mood and arrival time, you can either relax in the hotel after a tiring flight, go solo and explore the busy town, or take a boat tour (Optional) to explore the Negombo Lagoon.

Early risers have the option of beginning the day with a visit to the fish market in Negombo every day (except Sunday). Nearly all of the food produced by the Indian Ocean is available at the fish market.

Following a breakfast, we proceed to the Sigiriya (North Central part of the island). Once you arrived to Sigirya, you will have the opportunity to see free wild elephants at Minneriya National Park. Which is well-known for its large elephant herds.

After the safari, return to the hotel which we have in Sigirya.

Stay Overnight at Sigiriya.

You have an early breakfast (7.30 AM) before venturing through the banks of the Kandalama Wewa Reservoir. Lush hills and verdant plains lead to the captivating
mountaintops that surround the ancient reservoir's banks. Then your guide will lead you through the jungle to Sigirya Rock Fortress, where you will climb ancient steps to the top. At the top, there are beautiful frescoes, a mirror wall, and a final stairway built through huge lion paws carved into the rock.

Next you will be escorted by your guide to visit ancient ruins at Polonnaruwa that are drenched in morning yellow sunlight (Sightseeing of Polonnaruwa). In 1982, the ruins of Sri Lanka's second royal city were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Between the 10th and the 13th centuries, the island's commercial and religious hub was Polonnaruwa. Even today, the numerous remnants of the former gardens, palaces, and temples serve as evidence of this.

Next you'll return to your hotel to relax.

Stay overnight at Sigiriya.

After breakfast, travel to the Cave Temple of Dambulla, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has many Buddhist features, statues, and frescoes. About 80 temples make up the complex, which also has 153 Buddha statues and a ton of beautiful frescoes and rock paintings. The fantastic views and the temples, which are worth every effort, make the brief ascent worthwhile despite the fact that it can be strenuous.

After the breakfast from the hotel, next we driveto Mahiyanganaya. It's a town situated Uva Province of Sri Lanka & Gautama Buddha visited Mahiyanganaya on the Duruthu full moon poya day in order to settle a dispute arose between Yakkas and Nagas and this was his first ever visit to Sri Lanka. Stay overnight at Mahiyanganya.

We start the day with a walk through the village, where you can experience the local village life-style in Sri Lanka through a forest to a secluded Chena and you can observe numerous birdlife and experience an authentic Chena cultivation. Afterwars will drive to Maduru Oya National Park for your safari in the evening.

Maduru Oya is renowned for its elephant population. One can spot elephants, leopards, sloth bears, Sāmbhar, spotted and barking deer, wild boar and wild buffalo roaming in their natural habitat. Torque Macaque, Purple-faced leaf monkey and nocturnal slender Loris are also observed in the park. Lesser Adjutant, Woolly-necked stork, Open-bill, painted stork, Rackettailed Drongo, Yellow-fronted Barbet, Sri Lanka jungle fowl and spurfowl are among the over 100 species of birds found within the park.

After the safari, will drive to the hotel and unwind with a beautiful view from your accommodation. Have a good night's sleep in preparation for the next day's excursion.

Stay overnight at Mahiyanganaya.

Have the breakfast from the hotel, will drive to Ella. While we steep drive down mountainous road you can breathe refreshing air. In addition visit Dunhinda Water Falls.
After you arrive to Ella, check-in to hotel for some relax time and evening visit Ella's Little Adam's Peak (It is a relatively easy walk that is highly popular with tourists) in the evening to observe the stunning view of the sunset over the mountains and tea plantations.

The rest of the day can be spent simply relaxing in the hotel with a nice view or venturing out on your own to the bustling mountain village.

Stay overnight at Ella.

On the way, we'll show you some additional beautiful natural structures (Ravana Waterfall and Buduruwagala.) After arriving in Udawalawa, you can go on a safari in the Udawalawa National Park and it's home to 184 species of birds (33 of which are migratory), 94 kinds of plants, 21 fish, 12 amphibians, 33 reptiles, 43 mammals, and 135 pecies of butterflies, in addition to its amazing population of Asian elephants which is one of the best national parks for wildlife tour in Sri Lanka and bird watching tours in Sri Lanka.

After the Safari, checkin for your hotel Tissamaharama warm and calm room to relax will be served to spend your night.

Have the breakfast from the hotel, drive to Yala (Tissamaharama). If you'd like, you can go to the pilgrimage site in Kataragama. it's the second-most significant pilgrimage site in the nation, is regarded as a haven by all faiths, including Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, and Veddas.

In the evening enter to deep jungle of Yala National Park (GALGE NATIONAL PARK) for evening safari. Many other exotic animals can be seen in the wild here. After mind refreshing breakfast from the hotel, we directly proceed to Galle (South West Coastal Area) via Weligama, experiencing the Stick fisherman’s and can witness for a scenic & beautiful beach area in Sri Lanka in a UNESCO Heritage Site where Portuguese established the first fort in Galle. This was captured by the Dutch in 640, after which fortifications were expanded and grid street system established. Further extensions were made during the British period. The passenger port gained importance, but with the construction of a breakwater at Colombo, Galle slipped into maritime decline. Evening you will able to witness for the magical sunset laying over Indian Ocean with a view from on top of the FORT.

After having colonial stylish breakfast, we directly proceed to Colombo. In addition Visit Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda which is Sri Lanka's groundbreaking sea turtle conservation project. Frequently asked Questions

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.

How long do we walk every day when doing Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this trek?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about battery charging and hot shower facilities?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, hot water facility could be free at lower elevation.

Are there ATMs on the way to Annapurna Base Camp?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for Annapurna Base Camp trekking?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during off season.

It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

How much do guides and porters cost?

For Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.

    – A 40% deposit is required upon booking for the confirmation which is refundable according to the cancelation policy.

    – From the 14th day to the 8th day before departure: 20% of the travel price.
