Over 61,000 tourists visit over the first 20 days of June.

The first 20 days of June drew 61,183 tourists, bringing the year-to-date total to 585,669.

According to industry sources, the arrivals total is satisfactory given that June is also part of the sector’s off-season.

So far in June, Indians have been followed by Russians, Britons, Australians, and Chinese. May’s arrivals fell to 83,310 from above 100,000 in the first four months of 2023.

The robust intake from January to April, as well as the consistent arrivals since then, have kept tourism afloat. The year-to-date figure of 585,669 for 2023 accounts for 81.3% of the full-year total of 720,000 for 2022.
