Despite the fact that hot air ballooning is a relatively new activity in Sri Lanka, it offers a remarkable experience that will never be forgotten in response to the ongoing search for novel and exciting ways to see the countryside. Because no two flight paths are ever the same, it will be a truly unique journey. All hot air balloons are produced in the UK, where instructors certified by the Sri Lankan Civil Aviation Authority also train balloon pilots. An experienced ground crew that is following the flight path in a jeep and communicating with the balloon’s pilot continuously throughout the flight makes sure everything goes according to plan. So all that’s left to do is unwind, savor the silence, and take in Sri Lanka’s scenery!
