Depending on your mood and arrival time, you can either relax in the hotel after a tiring flight, go solo and explore the busy town, or take a boat tour (Optional) to explore the Negombo Lagoon.
Your day begins with a visit to the bustling Negombo Fish Market, one of the liveliest and most authentic local markets in Sri Lanka. Accompanied by your tour guide, you’ll experience the vibrant atmosphere as fishermen bring in the morning catch—perfect for some incredible cultural photography and local insights.
After the market, we journey through the scenic countryside to Sigiriya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the heart of Sri Lanka’s cultural triangle. Along the way, your guide will share stories and history about the regions you pass through.
Arrive in Sigiriya and take a short break before heading to Minneriya National Park for an unforgettable evening safari. Known for the majestic elephant gatherings, this park offers thrilling wildlife encounters with herds of elephants, deer and wild buffalo.
After breakfast, travel to the Cave Temple of Dambulla, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has many Buddhist features, statues, and frescoes. About 80 temples make up the complex, which also has 153 Buddha statues and a ton of beautiful frescoes and rock paintings.
